More on Obama

The election is over. Winners are cheering and gloating, and the losers are in a state of real despair, as there is really serious opposition to Barack Obama. His win and victory is almost a joke because he is facing two formal charges against him charging him with treason.  This is not a joke.  The two lawsuits have been filed.

The charges are serious. If it is true that he and Chris Stephens were actually providing weapons to al qaeda forces, then Barack Obama is a traitor and an enemy to the people of the USA.

However, as in all law suits, the burden of the proof is upon the plaintiff.  Barack Obama no doubt will have a defense, and unless the two plaintiffs are 100 % correct, the press will overlook this and downplay it.  The press seems to be enamored with a man who is possibly as described in the lawsuit a clear and present danger.

He may be at the mercy of forces that we know nothing about.  He may have a backer who has placed him in a position similar to those girls in Bosnia who were held captive and were so easily threatened.  There is little doubt that a person who occupys the White House seat has to be a very strong person when dealing with the financial backers who put him there, the military who threaten him and intimidate him in meetings, and the ongoing problem of satisfying the wants and desires of the public who voted him into office.

I am keeping watch on this and will be discussing it in my blogspot as I am drawn into the drama of this. Who will win? A Naval officer?  A public attorney?  Barack Obama?  the American public?

The Whistleblower

The Whistleblower is a nervewracking story which probably might remind one of the scandal involving the Navy in Las Vegas, the Tailgate party or some such thing...I have forgotten and did not research details before going into this discussion so will have to check it out.  There had been a scandal about some military group a few years back with a party in Vegas.  There are tons of stories about scandals and sex parties in most military barracks.  I have even known air force personnel myself personally to know that these stories are true even here in Arizona in the good old USA. But there is a difference between going out, meeting women in bars, or clubs, and taking them home to screw than in kidnapping, holding girls as prisoners, and then using them as prostitutes for their own sick games.  In America, women throw themselves easily at soldier boys hoping to get a tumble whether for money or for free, but in Bosnia, where this story is discovered, the girls had been lured out of the Ukraine to become forced to serve as sex slaves for men who were not only American, Europeans, Serbs, Croats, etc., but also for others serving in the role of peace officers.  It has been reported so often about how UN personnel in Africa have raped and pillaged young girls there that most have turned a blind eye to it.

This movie outraged me, since the drama is well plotted, well manipulated and controlled to make you suffer with anger at the plight of young girls who go out into the world to survive on their own, to be used and threatened and tortured by men from all parts of the world. It made me ashamed of the United Nations and the United States government.

The end of the movie is the most disturbing.  The heroine of the story suffers due to her interference, her dedication to her job as a good police woman, and finally loses in the end because she has done the impardonable, the good deed.   She is a whistleblower treading on men's habits and activity so that she is soon out of a job and a future for herself.  The men in the story are despicable and easily disliked, looking and acting like so many real life villains, no matter whether a 17 year old kid who recently abducted and raped a young ten year old girl in Colorado, and then killed and dismembered her.  These men do the same to these young women who are unable to defend themselves. There is literally no difference between the ugliness of one from the other.  Both are horrendous acts against women and girls.

A young girl from the Ukraine is the center of the plot along with her friend who unwisely encourged her to leave home to join this group of sorry young girls.  The girl makes a fatal mistake so like our ten year old in Colorado, she suffers both physical and mental abuse before she is finally killed.

It is a sad and sick story which is a real sick and dangerous problem to women everywhere.  After I saw it, I was reminded of the many young Mexican girls who are forced to be prostitutes in huts at the border towns where even Texas congressmen have admitted to frequenting as some kind of ritual.  I have even participated in observing those activities myself when I first came to Arizona years ago and only in my early 20's. I wondered at men who like to use young girls and pay for them as many in the great Southwest do.

These stories are right under our nose. It is wrong if we do not try to understand and help when needed.

I have a new smart phone

This week I called Sprint to ask about HSN's Galaxy 3 since it is sold on flex pay and because I explained that to the customer service lady, she was kind enough to tell me that I could save $100 if I went to Best Buy who had a special on the phone with Sprint.  This works out for me so that I called two Best Buy stores to be certain that the phone was available and that it was really a savings for me.

I went down, met a salesguy name of Rocky, who then was very helpful and got me set up with my new smart phone for the going price of $118 total after taxes etc.  Later, I learn from Sprint customer service who so generously devoted her time to helping me get the phone working properly that the monthly fee will be a bit higher than what I am paying now, but still good.  The only drawback in this is that here in my locale the 3g is all that is available so far.  But I can go to Chandler to see how the 4G works since it is being installed there so says some salesman at the Tempe Marketplace store.

Then I go down to Sprint Service store following day because contacts are all messed up as are a few other things, but I only reported two which he was able to fix...Nice technician who gave me the real lowdown on the phone and the service at the store.  It turns out that Sprint does not really have to help if you don't buy the phone from them for the first 30 days but they were generously nice and fixed it all up for me.

I am just becoming acquainted with the phone. I had had an android before, an HTC, which I actually liked until the end of the contract for then it went cahooey bellyup too in many ways but it did continue to work and function but was giving me lots of trouble at times which annoyed the daylights right out of me.

The new HTC has the beat sound system which I did get to hear finally and I loved it...But I am sure it was the headphones who made the sound so really crisp and defined. I could hear every sound vibrate as it should. That almost sold me on the phone again. I know that there is a computer by HP that uses that Beat sound also.  I may buy it when I get the chance if I can find it. It impressed me when I read about it.

However,  I am going for cheap, cheap in the world of computers now.  I just received word from Norton that is confusing the heck out of me on my notebook. I have not been using the notebook thinking that the Norton was not effective...Turns out something is up and I will have to find out what since I just learned about my renewal time which is soon...so I am ticked about that too.

I get so outraged by computers but I have learned one thing about all of them...Nobody ever helps one another much which always annoys me. I wonder if it is because they just don't know, are stupid, or just don't have a cooperative spirit.  People who share problems help one another and I appreciate those who do so I always listen.  The sales lady told me that the HP is a good one.  But with no explanation as to why. I like to know what does it do that another does not do.

I want a computer to write my novel.  I don't use computers for games, or for business dealings, stocks, bonds, or shares, but purely for social reasons and for the purpose of my business which is to finish what I have started.  I can probably write some of it on my smartphone but I won't try...and I did digress a lot I see.

Back to the smart phone.  It is so cool.  I can talk into it to write comments, status, and probably even a note or a book...However, you have to enunciate well and get close to the mike...but I am practicing and learning...it is so darn fun.  Then the camera shocked me no end today.  It has so many functions I could not believe it. A smile function that is suppose to take photos when the person smiles...it did not work right at all...but I tried.

I will go to the library tomorrow to read all about it. I must close now. I have been online enough now.

The Election is Over! Obama spends another four years in White House.

Once upon a time I really cared about politics enough to actually campaign.  As years go by, and we learn more about the people who are the elected leaders of this land, the more cynical and pessimistic we become.  We learn that they are human beings consumed with grandiose ideas of grandeur associated with power.  Does power corrupt?  Most certainly, there are none who do not become somewhat tainted by the glory and the fame that accompany modern day politics.  The elected love to talk on national television, to be admired, cozied up to, and to actually begin to believe that perhaps they are a slight bit more important than the ordinary man who elected them to the office in which they are serving.  In other words, few can ever be the same person that they had been before occupying whichever seat in government they hold.  The position of elected servant does that to them...Gives them the big head, makes them seem self important, privileged, and after a time, repugnant to the simple folk who elected them.

Obama's appeal to most of the electorate was his background, his birthright debated right and left, his poor boy whose rise to success imitates other Hollywood conjured stories so that many people condescend by feeling sorry for him, pitying him, and thus, electing him.  What a travesty!

The truth about Barack Obama is little known, but believe it or not, there will soon emerge so many books about him, his father,a Kenyan Muslim, his mother, a poor white woman, and then his classy wife so carefully chosen for him by Reverend Wright, that it won't be funny. His life will be dissected to the point that it will be finer than ground flour at a flour mill.  That is the spoils of success in politics. Soon you are studied like any other bug under a microscope.

In Ed Klein's book The Amateur, a term that Bill Clinton called him when urging his wife Hillary to challenge him in the Democratic primary, Barack Obama is exposed as a totally different character than his fiery speech giving oratory makes him appear.  He seems to be hiding behind women's skirts since the women surround him keeping him in a prison of their making.  The book is fascinating to learn that Barack Obama did not curry favor with his old friends who were responsble for getting him into his position but instead he cut loose from them, letting them know that they were liabilities and not assets.

He soon made new conquests and appears to have created an entire new personna.  What the second term will expose in him as he meets the opportunities, challenges, and problems there is more than we can know but believe it  or not, people will be dogging his every step.

Is  he a mole? Is he really selling the country out? Is he morally decadent?  Everyone who studied him and knew him from his legislation in Illinois knew his positions on abortion since he spoke up so often on that cause.

If in fact, he did use Chris Stephens as a means to help al qaeda, the truth must come out. He is being charged with the murder of four men in Libya whom he could have assisted but he did not give an order to help.  He stood by and watched is the charge.

I wonder if this will escalate or die out. It is a flame in the burner...will the far right win this or will Obama? Stay tuned.  The presidency is the national soap opera.

Life Changes

I have spent a good many years studying racing.  I love horses and did write a few words as to why last evening only because I was in a mood to say I told you so.  But I since have changed my mind about publishing that in a public forum.  I have learned that words get distorted, misunderstood, and can be very dangerous if misinterpreted.

My relationship with animals is pretty certain.  I find that they can draw me into their lives with relatively little difficulty.  Animals have their own means of communication when one takes the time to pay attention to them, and I halfway imagine that that is all that they want...lots of attention and loving care.

My cats have taught me that they are just as loving, affectionate, and demonstrative as dogs.  I think that cats are given a different attitude by owners since they are so clean, and so independent in taking care of themselves.  Dogs do not have litter boxes. Nor do they sit around and groom themselves in the same way that cats do. I wonder if the other members of the cat family do that, or if it is limited to only domesticated cats.

I depend upon my cat a lot, especially to wake me up in the morning.  Without fail, he is poking me, licking my face, and making me get up so that I can put out his morning feed.  For a small cat, probably really regular sized, he is a very strong and powerful male cat.  He is quick, way too fast for me to try to catch, so I do not allow him outdoors without a harness and a leash.   Without the leash, I could never keep up with him when he takes to running.  Since I have not neutered him, I will not let go out without the leash. If a cat were in heat, he would be on her in a second. Thank Heaven no female cats run loose around here.

I have not neutered him since I believe it is the cause of Alexander's early demise. I read some articles that try to explain that neutering is not the cause, but why the argument if so many cats who had been neutered had not died too soon after.  I still believe that for some reason, and I have no idea why that that is the cause of Alexander's disease that eventually killed him.

It is a beautiful afternoon now.  I will spend the day getting a few necessities done.

After a Night's Sleep

I was berating myself yesterday on my poor ability to play the horses yesterday and am always angry at some gamblers who don't know how to be good winners that I said too much on my blog so am deleting all of it this morning.

A Dangerous Method

A Dangerous Method is a movie about Carl Gustav Jung, his relationship to a young patient, and his longterm friendship with renowned Sigmund Freud.  This is a beautiful film which has a wonderfully written script, great direction, and superb acting by each of the three main characters as well as a supporting character who plays Carl's beautiful but rich wife.

It opens in Zurich, Switzerland, and then occasionally travels to Vienna, Austria where  Sigmund Freud practices his medicine.  The story is based upon Carl's relationship and friendship to Freud, who he sees as a father figure.  There are scenes in this which like the previous movie that I just discussed make me believe that the writers and producers are pointing a finger at me. I am totally convinced of that in both through choice lines and scenes.  I  got the message loud and clear in both.

(Naturally, the world evolves around me, at least the entertainment world appears to at times.  I now wonder why? hahahahaha)

At least I can laugh at myself as I watch actors do as a former student of mine once told me," it is all psychodrama."

So in this film which is beautifully made, well acted, and full of great respect for its audience, I can safely say I caught the line and loved it, knowing very well that it is an echo of my own line...If it worked in Network so well, I guess it can in A Dangerous Method.  So be it.

The movie exposed a lot to me. I was half in love with my psychology prof at Kent State too, and as most young girls do, had silly fantasies and dreams until I had one too many classes with him.  I then realized how silly and foolish I had been and got over it quickly, but in this film, the patient and the doctor both listen well to  their hearts and get involved despite all the professionalism each knows is required for their profession.  The friendship which they enjoyed is the cause of the conflict between Freud and Jung, despite other obvious differences in attitudes about launching outward in the field of psychiatry.  Freud in this film is a bit of a realist but also is more easily threatened than the adventurous Jung.  Very intriguing presentation of the way psychiatry was practiced in the early 1900's.  Has any progress been made since?

Most patients fall in love with their doctors.  Truly, it is astounding to learn that Jung and his patient whose needs are teriffic did enjoy an affair which cost him the friendship of Sigmund Freud.  The movie does not end happily ever after, but it does solve some problems for those who may need some counseling regarding their own pentup suppressions and repressions.  In the end, the patient marries and has children of her own, but unfortunately was killed in World War II.  Freud died in 1939, and Jung died in 1961.  Jung did have another mistress after his first affair as well as his wife.  He suffered a nervous breakdown during WWI but came back to advance his career to make breakthroughs that brought him to the forefront in his profession.  The movie emphasized the fact that most members of the psychiatry family were Jewish.  The patient is Jewish, and that is why she lost her life at the hand of the Nazis.  She had been widowed with two children but was apparently shot.

There is some discussion of Aryan race in this film as there was in I Served The English King.  It does help to explain why it was that the Jews as a separate race were fixated upon by Adolph Hitler.  I, for one, cannot yet understand why it is that a group of religious followers like the Jews could have ever been a threat to the Aryan race since Jews are notoriously famous for being family oriented and exclusive to themselves as well. It is important to understand that these two movies do not hesitate to dwell upon the Jews.

What that has to do with me?  I have had lifelong work relationships with Jews as like the "shrimp" in the Czech movie I worked in a Jewish country club which was designed only for millionaires. I had an empathy with him for his work as a waiter as I had been a server who had served Forest Tucker, a movie actor, at that club.  I think that may have prompted this A Dog Called Bimbo type movie.

I worked with Jewish women at the May Company in the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles one Christmas season.  That was where I ran into a star of the t.v. show Hazel, Don DeFore.

I had many Jewish professors and teachers in many different schools and classrooms.  Frankly, I do not know why anyone would ever victimize a group of people who keep to themselves.  So it remains a mystery what prompted Adolph Hitler who was bringing the German people out of destitute living and depression to a full economy.  I guess nobody will ever know.  Frankly, I do think that Hitler was a great artist, but his desire to attain his goal was thrwarted so that some think that may have been the reason for his choice of victims.

Did I identify with the waiter in I Served the English King? Yes, of course since his name is Jan.HIs last name means child.  He often gets by with things as if he had been a child.  I once upon a time had to shop in children's clothing to get clothes to fit me. I wore a raincoat that was clearly made for a child.  So I got the picture immediately...he looks a cross between Ellen DeGeneres and David Spade to me, but I saw through the entire film...It is a fantasy and made me laugh.

The Freudian thing made me think of a time when I was called Young.

I did not identify with anyone in the movie until she gave him her answer for why she could enter the film of psychiatry since I have always maintained that about psychiatrists as I do school teachers also.

You have to be crazy...(insane)!  Then I laughed, and remembered that a bath is a form of torture, and they used bathtubs enough times to see the torture!

It is a good movie...Following me everywhere does at least produce decent films on very rare occasions...thanks this time for making me feel proud!
