I've Loved You So Long, French Movie

I just watched the French movie called I've Loved You So Long, which stars Kristen Scott Thomas of the English Patient, and Elsa Zylberstein, a lovely young actress who is as mesmerizing in her role as Kristen Scott Thomas. Thomas's character Juliette has just been released from serving time in prison to live with her sister and her family. Juliette had had a trial for the death of her son, and was charged with murder. Everyone had turned against her except her younger sister who has not seen her in years. The story reveals the adjustment that each make to one another as Juliette becomes rehabilitated and returned to society. She had previously been a medical laboratory doctor so she tries to assume responsbility back in life as a medical secretary at a hospital. She has been living a life of pain and agony, and as the story unfolds to reveal her maternal instincts towards her sister's adopted daughters from Viet Nam, the audience gradually watches her come out of her years of retreat and silence to finally return to a state of near normalcy, and naturally as would be expected, the truth comes out about her son's death and the real cause of it.

It is a very touching story that reaches the heart, and two amazing performances are given by these truly talented and gifted women. It is a film that everyone should see. It is a story filled with hope and promise, and requires kleenexes for it is a tearjerker. The finale has a great finish with a beautiful French song for the background, and nobody should miss the last song.

I really loved this movie and it gives me a chance to practice my French by seeing it again...
