Much Ado About Nothing

Today I am going to write in briefs...as there are a lot of things on my mind.

First, all the nonsense about a preacher in Florida who plans to burn copies of the Koran on Sunday, September 11, 2010. There is much too much media attention being given to this small fire, and too many people are sounding off for the wrong reasons.

One, if anyone had ever even thought to protest a stoning of an adulteress, or the execution of a young Saudi Princess, I would have thought favorably of the Muslim male world. But instead, I learned through the medium of television that the boys of Jordan had no sympathy or caring at all for the female members of their community when sanctioned, accused, or arrested. For that reason alone, I believe that the world of Muslim is unfair and detrimental to the cause of women.

So for such a torrent of protest about cartoons depicting Mohammed or the burning of the Koran just shows me the amount of true 1984 Big Brother lunacy and idiocy that this group of Muslim radicals appear to be. They are out of line as is the Pope, Michael Bloomberg, Hilary Clinton, and Angelina Jolie appear to be too.

In my opinion, the Koran is the cause of the act of terrorism that shook NYC, and were it not for the misinterpretation and misrepresentation of that book which Lord knows has so many different interpretations as to be ridiculous 9/11 would not have happened.

Anyone who has ever read the Koran, and I am one who has read it aloud even, knows what it says.

To think that the young students of the Taliban and Afghanistan could be a threat and a danger to our troops there is a laughable joke to me. For generals to protest that a minister in Florida is creating harm is outrageous to even think. If those troops are not better prepared than that, then they should withdraw at once.

This entire thing is ridiculous!

If the preacher wants to burn the Koran as a symbol of protest against those who think him an infidel, he has the protection of the constitution to do it.

I think that the citizens of this nation are going to have to learn how to elect leaders who truly represent them instead of the lot that are getting the attention now.

Americans, wake up! Choose your leadership much more wisely than you appear to be doing at this moment in time!
