Jesus Christ Superstar

I shocked some of my readers today on facebook I suppose when I told them that as a teacher in California I had been the Jesus Christ Superstar character. It is true. I had been, and my friend Kathleen had been the Judas Iscariot character. We both went to see a guru who had come from India to appear at a local spot in LA. He was a noshow so Kathleen and I got the treatment of going to a place in Santa Monica where a person in a sweatsuit sat immediately behind us. This person was an actor who played in the role of JCSuperstar on stage then. I had had a JCsuperstar image due to my involvement with a few students and our discussions on Jesus and my initials being JC as well..but it was a game of roleplaying and we were using the teacher role to explain Jesus's function at his time with his disciples...the big question had been are you all you say you are as in the song that Weber wrote? meaning could you walk on water? as Jesus is taunted in the stage play, come walk across my swimming pool...That is why Temperature's fine is 32 degrees...when the lake is frozen one can walk across it without fear...in Jesus's time, the sea of Galilee is something that Jesus through his spiritual power could subdue...he said to Peter that it is lack of faith that made Peter go into the water so that Jesus had to grab him to keep him up...these are biblical teachings to prove spiritual verities that most ordinary men cannot fathom. The water is an allegory. Jesus is an allegory as well. The physical properties are there. It was seen as a miracle. There is on youtube a video showing kids trying to walk on water and they succeed in it for a short time...Spiritual levitation is something that a few Indian gurus are supposedly capable of doing. It is mind over matter. Peter's mind had not achieved the level of spiritual heights to keep him out of the material depths. I have said that I walk on water by staying out of debt. Literally, I do not take on too many debts beyond my means. I walk on water. I can pay my bills. I am not drowning in loans and indebtedness which most Americans do all the time...In court reporting, we learned that there is no tomorrow.
